Deciding if your dog would be a great fit for doggy daycare involves assessing your dog's temperament, behavior, and needs. Here are some factors to consider when making this determination:

  1. Socialization: Is your dog comfortable around other dogs? If your dog enjoys playing with other dogs at the park or during playdates, it's a good sign they may do well in a daycare environment.
  2. Energy level: Doggy daycares can be quite active, with lots of play and interaction. If your dog has a high energy level and enjoys exercise and socialization, daycare may be a good fit.
  3. Age and health: Puppies and senior dogs may have different needs and tolerances for daycare. Make sure the daycare can accommodate your dog's age and health requirements.
  4. Temperament: Dogs with friendly and non-aggressive temperaments tend to do better in group settings. Aggressive or overly anxious dogs may not be suitable for daycare.
  5. Obedience and training: A well-trained dog that responds to basic commands is more likely to have a positive experience in daycare. Good behavior can help prevent conflicts and ensure your dog's safety.
  6. Trial visit: our daycare facility offers a daycare evaluation visit to assess your dog's compatibility with the environment. This can be a good way to gauge your dog's reaction to daycare.
  7. Size: Some daycares separate dogs by size to prevent accidents and ensure that smaller dogs are not overwhelmed by larger ones.
  8. Vaccinations and health checks: Ensure your dog is up-to-date on vaccinations and free of any contagious illnesses. Our daycare require proof of vaccinations and a clean bill of health.
  9. Separation anxiety: If your dog experiences severe separation anxiety, daycare may not be the best solution. Some dogs become anxious in unfamiliar environments.
  10. Behavior history: Consider your dog's past experiences with other dogs. If they have shown aggression or excessive fear in the past, it may be a sign that daycare isn't the best choice.
  11. Trial period: Start with short daycare sessions to see how your dog adapts. Gradually increase the duration as your dog becomes more comfortable.

Remember that not all dogs are suited for daycare, and that's perfectly fine. If daycare doesn't seem like the right fit for your dog, you can explore other options. Always prioritize your dog's well-being and comfort when making this decision.
